Thrown by the river for so long, and nobody came to chuck us a rope
Under the lily we waited for someone, we took the blame, they took the hope
And I’ll run til I fly cause it’s only a matter of faith
I gotta try, it feels fast but maybe we’ll make
Up for lost time on the last love,
and it feels like the last time giving up,
But you came, and it all changed for the better
So you’d better never change
Ah ah ah ah ah ah, don’t you ever change
Ah ah ah ah ah ah, don’t you ever change
Digging your heel for a feeling, that if isn’t pain, placebo or numb
Surfacing up after years of the same game, the glass and the stars fill up our lungs
I’ll never forget you, in the orchard and out in the wood
I don’t regret ooh, cause a bad year made room for good
Lost time on the last love and it feels like the last time
Giving up, but you came and it all changed for the better
So you better never change
Ah ah ah ah ah ah, don’t you ever change
Ah ah ah ah ah ah, don’t you ever change

I've listened to the original edition of this so many times and never tire of it. The vocal style, harmonies, and songwriting are mindblowing. Can't pick a favorite song so I'll just go with the one that's in my head most lately. Definitely recommend the CD. Looking forward to listening to their other stuff. Some guy

I'm working back through Bitter Ruin's career and am delighted to find this album and other rarities available here.
I hate to label musicians unless it leads to genuine understanding and these guys defy categories with ease, grace and shared pleasure. Nicholas Taliesin Barrett
